Tim David and Romario shepherd took MI to first win in IPL 2024
MI finally back on track, Tim David and Romario Shepherd big hitting took MI to 234/5 shepherd scored 32 runs in the final over against Anrich Nortje and that was the difference at the end despite the fight from Tristan Stubbs’s (71 runs on 45 balls) MI won the game by 29 runs and registered their first point of the season.
Rohit and Ishan took MI to flying start
MI was struggling to get good opening stand in opening games but Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan took the charge from the first ball and started hitting over strike rate of 180 both took mi to flying start, Rohit missed a well-deserved half century by just 1 run he scored 49 runs in just 27 ball and Ishan scored 42 runs in 23 balls at the end both fell to left arm spinner Axar Patel.
DC fight back in middle overs
After the flying start from Rohit and Kishan ,Axar Patel was the bowler who took the MI off the track taking out Rohit Sharma as well as Ishan Kishan and took DC back into the game and then Nortje strike and took Surya Kumar Yadav (0 runs 2 balls) and Khaleel took out tilak Verma (6 runs 5 balls) and DC was back in game but Hardik fought well (39 runs in 34 balls) and made base for big hitters to launch.
David and shepherd on slaughter in death overs
Tim David (45 runs in 21balls) and shepherd (39 runs in 10 balls ) took the game away from DC in death overs . Romario shepherd scored 4 6 6 6 4 6 in the last over against Anrich Nortje and these runs made the difference at the end.
Tristan Stubbs innings felt just short.
Dc was behind the right from the start, but Stubbs fought well at the end scored 71 in just 25 balls almost came close to winning the match, but he did get the required support from the other end and fell short by 29 runs.
DC now slipped to the bottom of the table with just 1 win in 5 games and MI climbed to 8th with 1 win in 4 games, point table is getting heated up as every year MI has started after 3 consecutive losses.
