Bangladesh won by 6 wicket

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 6 wicket in 2nd test on the fifth day . 105 runs were needed at last day and Bangladesh comfortably chased down the total with the loss of 4 wicket.

Pakistan on the verge of another humiliating defeat

After the defeat against Bangladesh in(2nd test of Pakistan vs Bangladesh) the first match, Pakistan made many big changes like their main bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah were rested but in the second test, this change does not seem to have any result because in the second test, Bangladesh now has only 140 runs to win and they have all 10 wickets left.

Bangladesh 1st innings

Before the start of the Test match, it seemed that the Pakistan team had come with a strategy, but after Bangladesh lost 6 wickets for the first 28 runs, the Pakistan team was nowhere to be seen in the whole match. Liton Das scored a brilliant century of 138 runs for the Bangladesh team, after that Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a brilliant half-century innings of 78 runs and got his team out of trouble.

Pakistan second innings collapsed

In response, Pakistan scored only 172 runs while batting in the second innings. Saim Ayub scored 20 runs for Pakistan, his captain Shan Masood scored 28 and Babar Azam could score only 11 runs. Apart from this, Mohammad Rizwan scored 43 and Agha Salman scored 47 runs, due to which Pakistan’s team was able to reach a modest score of 172 runs.

Bangladesh 2nd innings(Pakistan vs Bangladesh)

By the end of the day’s play in(2nd test of Pakistan vs Bangladesh) , Bangladesh team scored 42 runs without losing a single wicket. Both the openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam are unbeaten. Now Bangladesh needs only 143 runs to win on the 5th day and they have 10 wickets in hand. So Pakistan’s defeat is almost certain. Now only a miracle can save them.

Jason Gillespie believes Pakistan can still turn this match around

Pakistan head coach Jason Gillespie in press conference said “We’ve already lost if we walk out expecting to lose” he wants his boys to believe in them and according to him 140 runs are enough to get back into the match as Pakistan have done this in the first innings of this match taking opposition to 26/6 now Pakistan need something special to win this test match.
