Jasprit Bumrah achieved a special milestone, completing 400 wickets in international cricket
Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has achieved a significant milestone, claiming his 400th wicket in international cricket during the second day of the first Test match against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. With this accomplishment, Bumrah becomes the 10th Indian bowler to reach this landmark. He is also the 6th Indian fast bowler to secure 400 wickets in international cricket.

Bumrah destroyed Bangladesh team
Bumrah completed his 400th wicket in international cricket by dismissing Hasan Mahmud. He delivered a stellar performance in the first innings against Bangladesh, taking 4 wickets for 50 runs in 11 overs. Marking his return to the home ground, Bumrah destabilized Bangladesh’s innings by bowling out opener Shadman Islam in the very first over. He then went on to take the wickets of Mushfiqur Rahim, Hasan Mahmud, and Taskin Ahmed.
Bumrah Joins the Group of Kapil and Zaheer
Bumrah has now taken 163 wickets for India in Test cricket. With his achievement of 400 wickets in international cricket, he joins the elite group of Indian fast bowlers like Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami. He reached this milestone in his 227th innings.

Bumrah Leads the Indian Bowling Attack
Making his Test debut in 2018, Bumrah has made a significant impact in the red-ball format as well. He is currently regarded as one of the best bowlers across all formats globally. Initially seen as a limited-overs specialist after his success in the IPL, he quickly established himself as a crucial bowler for India in Test cricket. Earlier this year, Bumrah took 19 wickets in four Test matches against England.
