SL VS NZ day 1 highlight: Dinesh Chandimal scored 100 against new Zealand

SL VS NZ : 2nd test 1st season went to the host Sri Lankans and the credit goes to Dinesh Chandimal for his phenomenal knock at lunch SL were 102/1 in 32 overs. Demuth Karunaratne got run out in early in second session from their onwards Chandimal went ahead to a score a century he was dismissed by Glenn Philip, Sri Lanka score after stumps on day 1 is 306/3 Angelo Mathews and a Kamindu mandis are on crease with scores of 78 and 51 respectively

after the first everything was going according to plans of Sri Lankan team but a run out again made kiwis believe that the comeback is possible but the most experienced man in Sri Lankan team came to bat Angelo Mathews and he just allowed Dinesh Chandimal to get to his ton and after his departure the build a partnership 85 runs with Kamindu mendis and till the stumps to avoid any further damage to the team.

Tim Southee struck early

Southee with a new ball is always a threat even in Asian conditions, he removed Pathum Nissanka very early in Sri Lankan innings Pathum Nissannka only scored 1 runs in 3 ball and went back after that Demuth Karunaratne and Dinesh Chandimal took responsibility and build a hundred run stand.

after an early break though blackcaps must have thought that they went through sl batting order but 2 of the top Sri Lankan batters Chandimal and Demuth Karunaratne played brilliantly Chandimal scored 60 of 99 ball with the help of 9 fours and the latter scored 40 runs in 90 ball with 4 boundaries
