IND VS NZ: Indian Batters Dominated On Day 3 After New Zealand’s Lead of 356 Runs In The First Innings, Rachin Ravindra Hits A Ton
India was way behind after the way New Zealand batted in the first innings of the match. They went behind by 356 runs but responded beautifully to keep their hopes alive. At the end of Day 3, the Men in Blue finished on 231/3, behind by 125 runs with seven wickets in hand.
After bowling India out for 46 in the first innings, New Zealand had a great chance to put up a big score on the board and make India feel pressure. They were rightly done so. Their batters continued to find boundaries.
India’s performance will be main highlight of the day
In the morning, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj got India off to a very good start. They both took a wicket in their five-over spells. The first four-wickets fell for 53-runs only, and India were now looking to quickly sum up the tailender. Both Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took three-wickets each and restricted New Zealand to 402.
India started brilliantly in the response of New Zealand’s 402 and finished the day on high. Both the Indian opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma made an opening partnership of 72 runs. The Indian captain went to score his half-century. After the dismissal of Jaiswal, Virat Kohli once again came to bat at No. 3.
Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan added 136-runs for the 3rd wicket. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli completed his 9000 Test runs and played a good knock of 70 under pressure. He was well complemented by Sarfaraz Khan who was in a different mood today and started scoring runs quickly, he took just 42 balls to score his half-century. Fourth Day will be very crucial from India’s point of view.

New Zealand posted 402 on the board with the help of Rachin Ravindra’s second Test hundred
The Blackcaps resumed their innings on 180-3 and finished their first innings on 402/10 with a huge lead of 356 runs. Young left-hander Rachin reached his second Test ton, and he was very well complemented by Tim Southee who played a quick inning of 63 off 73 balls.
Team India began Day 3 on a positive note and quickly dismissed four wickets to reduce the visitors to 233-7. However, Rachin Ravindra and Tim Southee added 137 runs for the eighth wicket. Ravindra was the last man to be dismissed which ended a a fine knock that included 13 fours and 4 sixes in his innings
