Australia Squad for T20 World Cup 2024

Australia announces their 15 members squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Mitch Marsh will be a captain of Australian team at the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA.

Steve Smith left out

Former captain Steve Smith has been left out of Australia’s squad after a poor run of form against New Zealand in February, when he made scores of 11 and 4. Also a promising batter Jake Fraser-McGurk who has doing an extraordinary batting performance in IPL 2024 for Delhi Capitals has been omitted.

Selectors Said: – “Ultimately the balance of the final 15 needs to provide the best chance of being successful in this campaign,” said selection chief George Bailey. Bailey added there had been “long conversations” about whether to include Smith in the side and said he would be keeping a close eye on Fraser-McGurk, 22, who has been in fine form for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.

Warner’s Last Tournament

Veteran opening batter David Warner has been selected for what could be his final international tournament. David Warner already announced that they have played his last international tournament and after t20 world cup, he should retire from international cricket.
