Rohit and Kohli Clash with Umpire
In a heated scene during the first Test match (IND vs NZ) of the three-match series, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and senior player Virat Kohli confronted the umpires over a controversial decision of Umpires to stop play due to poor light in Chinnaswamy.
The incident was happened after India’s second innings where India scored a 462 runs. And then New Zealand has come for the chase in his second innings, New Zealand is needing a 107 runs for victory against India (IND vs NZ). On a chase began, after 4 balls of first over Umpire stop the Play due to bad light and that decision is taken between the over of Jasprit Bumrah so Indian Captain Rohit Sharma and senior player Virat Kohli is argued with Umpire on his decision. But after few minutes as heavy rain began to fall, the umpires decided to call off the day’s play.
Argued with Umpire
The Umpires decision sparked frustration among the Indian players, particularly Captain Rohit Sharma and Kohli, who were seen arguing with the umpires in an attempt to have the New Zealand batsmen brought back onto the field. The main reason of this argue is when the umpires ignored their appeals and not even talk to Indian Players in that decision and that Umpires rude behaviour was leading to visible anger from the Indian side.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled just 4 Balls
Jasprit Bumrah bowled just four balls during New Zealand’s second innings. In his first over, India took a review for an LBW decision against Tom Latham, but it was unsuccessful. After those four deliveries, the umpires decided to stop the match, which angered the Indian team. Rohit Sharma tried to talk to the umpires, but his efforts were ignored, and Kohli also expressed his frustration.
As the New Zealand batsmen headed to the dressing room, tensions rose. Indian players pressed the umpires to reconsider their decision. Eventually, rain forced both teams off the field, but the heated exchange with the umpires underscored the tension in this crucial match.
