In Emerging Asia Cup match between ind a vs pak a , India A delivered an outstanding performance in batting, bowling, and fielding and securing a thrilling victory over Pakistan. This win marks a great start for India in the tournament. India batted first and scored 183 runs for 8 wickets. Captain Tilak Varma was the top scorer for India, he scored 44 runs off 35 balls. Fast bowlers Anshul Kamboj (3 wickets for 33 runs) and Rasikh Salam (2 wickets for 30 runs), along with spinner Nishant Sindhu (2 wickets for 15 runs), collectively took 8 wickets to restrict Pakistan to 176 runs for 7 wickets.

The Indian players excelled in all three areas in first match of Emerging Asia Cup, Indian team doing exceptional performance in all three department (batting, bowling, and fielding). Ramandeep Singh took a spectacular catch and saved crucial runs in the final overs. Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh opened the batting, providing a quick start. Abhishek scored 35 runs off 22 balls, while Prabhsimran made 36 runs off 19 balls.
Explosive Start in Powerplay
India scored 68 runs during the powerplay without losing a wicket against Pakistan. Indian Opener Abhishek attacked from the very first over, hitting several boundaries and putting pressure on the Pakistani bowlers. And other opener Prabhsimran also joined in and hitting a four and a six in the second over. Together, they struck 8 fours and 5 sixes in powerplay.
After the powerplay, the pace slowed down as spinners came into play. Abhishek and Prabhsimran were dismissed quickly. Then captain Varma (44 runs) and Nehal Wadhera (25 runs) took charge. As the pitch slowed, Varma played a key role in anchoring the innings, while Wadhera and Ramandeep hit boundaries.

Abhishek Sharma is known for his aggressive batting, and he didn’t hold back against the Pakistani bowlers in this match. However, he couldn’t build a big innings. In the seventh over, Pakistani bowler Sufiyan Muqeem took his wicket when Abhishek failed to time his shot properly, leading to a brilliant catch by Qasim Akram. Sufiyan signaled for a send-off, which angered Abhishek, and he stared down Sufiyan as he walked off the field.
Pakistan’s Chase for 184 Runs
After Indian Team exceptional batting Pakistan needed to chase down a target of 184 runs. They faced early setbacks as all-rounder Anshul Kamboj took two quick wickets. Yasir Khan (33 runs) and Qasim Akram (27 runs) fought back aggressively. A spectacular catch by Ramandeep dismissed Yasir, and shortly after, Nishant took Qasim’s wicket.
Arif Minhas scored the most runs for Pakistan with 41 runs off 29 balls, while Abdul Samad added 25 runs off 15 balls. When Samad came to bat, Pakistan needed 58 runs to win. He managed to hit a six and two fours off Vaibhav Arora in the 16th over, bringing the score down to 42 runs off 24 balls.
In the final over, Pakistan needed 17 runs. Anshul Kamboj took a crucial wicket on the first ball, dismissing Samad. India emerged victorious by 7 runs!
