Indian bowling sensation Siraj became DSP of Telangana
Based on his recent success in the Asia Cup and World Cup, where India emerged victorious, bowler Mohammed Siraj was appointed deputy superintendent of police. He was a key member of the team that lifted the trophy alongside captain Rohit Sharma.
Regulations for the appointment will be changed by the Telangana government
The government then amended the Telangana (Regulation of Appointments to Public Services and Rationalization of Staff Pattern and Pay Structure) Act, 1994 to ease the appointments following Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s statement. Going ahead, Siraj will still be contributing to the national cricket squad.
With the announcement from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government went on to amend the Telangana (Regulation of appointments to public services and rationalization of staff pattern and pay structure) Act, 1994, to facilitate the appointments.
Test Squad for New Zealand
Mohammad Siraj is also being selected for the upcoming test series against New Zealand, which is also a part of the WTC cycle. He also played recent test matches against Bangladesh, where India defeated Bangladesh comfortably in 2 test matches.
Shami’s absence will increase the responsibility of Siraj
In the absence of Mohmmad Shami Mohmad, Siraj will have lots of responsibilities, along with Jaspreet Bhumrah. India is currently at the top of the WTC points table and would love to continue it further.
