The timing is crucial, especially with the Champions Trophy scheduled for February-March. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear that they cannot send the team to Pakistan without government approval. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board insists the tournament will take place in Pakistan and that a hybrid model is off the table.
